TEST on maize seeds.
The two series of corn ears shown on the photo below have been obtained on contiguous short rows from the same lot of seeds, sown on April 7th, 2005, the day before the onset of a soft seed period.

The corn ears on the right were obtained by seeds previously subjected for 24 hours at a constant temperature of 35° C. inside an incubator.
